Green 182 is a high-energy tribute band that pays homage to the iconic punk rock sound of Green Day and the pop-punk sensation Blink-182. This dynamic ensemble seamlessly blends the rebellious spirit and anthemic melodies of both bands, delivering an electrifying live experience that transports audiences back to the golden era of pop punk.

With spot-on vocals, infectious energy, and a stage presence that mirrors the originals, Green 182 captures the essence of Green Day and Blink-182, making every performance a nostalgic journey for fans of the ’90s & ’00s punk rock scene.

But how did we get here?

History of Green 182

Green 182 started out as some friends meeting up to jam their favourite pop punk tracks from the 90’s and 00’s in a local studio. Once the bug had set in, we decided that there must be others out there who would love to hear the eclectic mix of pop punk covers and decided to form a covers band called ‘Dad Bod Squad’.

Only 1 month in and we had some supporting slots to warm us up on stage and went down a storm solidifying that there was loads of people who wanted to see a pop punk covers band. Months go by and we rack up a few gigs, but we begin to notice some songs receiving a better reaction than others.

Simultainiously, each member of the band brought with them a particular passion for particular bands, and a common theme came through. Josh and Nick (Drums and Guitar) both grew up fanatic for Blink 182, and Luke and Ben (Bass and Vocals) both grew up idolizing Green Day. Because of this, both of these bands became prolific in the set, and the audience loved them, especially older less often covered songs.

Because of this, we realised there was potentially a tribute band opportunity where we could dedicate to learning and playing the lesser covered, but greatly loved classics. But which band should be tributed? With much deliberation (pretty much one person exclaiming), we decided that we could tribute both! They are both icons of an era and an entire genre, and it was clear that we were never gonna be able to pick between the two! And just like that…

Green182 was born!

Meet the Band

Billie Joe

Ben - Vocals/Guitar

Tom DeLonge

Ben has been playing Guitar for over 15 years but is a multi-instrumentalist doing session work and producing on many small projects as well as being part of several original projects: Candidates (A Milton Keynes based indi Rock Band) and Atacama (A Milton Keynes Based Stoner Rock band (who supported Nick Olivieri’s solo project)).

But Ben is not new to covers and tributes as he has played for many successful function bands and even fronted his own Green Day tribute band previously called ‘Fifty Shades of Green Day’. Ben brings his all to fronting Green 182 taking on the challenging role of Billie Joe and having to balance Tom and Mark’s vocals as our main lead in Blink 182.

Holds a world record for the most bottles opened using a sock!

Finds racoons intriguing (even though hes never seen one)

Mike Dirnt

Luke - Bass

Mark Hoppus

Luke has been playing Bass for over 18 years in a number of bands including touring Europe with a successful metal band ‘Death Remains’ and released a highly rated album. Luke grew up listening to pop punk and metal from the 90’s and 00’s and is hugely excited to be back to his roots playing pop punk on live stages again. Luke will be putting in his time to take on the anthem grounded bass licks from both Mike and Mark!

Is able to park a boat, but not a car.

Thinks that KFC is only pretending to be so crap to surprise us on April 1st.

Tré Cool

Josh - Drums/Backing

Travis Barker

Josh has been drumming for 19 years (to the annoyance of all around him)! Growing up playing Blink 182 for hours at a time, pop punk has always been his passion. Turning 18, Josh joined his first ever covers band and played all across Cambridgeshire soon launching his own project, ‘Sabertooth Timmy’ (Modern Rock covers of classics).

Now Josh plays in two popular Cambridgeshire covers bands (‘Halo’ & ‘Mixtape Anglia’) whilst also doing session work depping, recording and theatrical drumming. Josh has BIG shoes to fill when covering the rhythms of two legends of the drumming world, but will be giving blood, sweat, and tears to both bands to make sure Green 182 encapsulates both Travis’s patterns and energy as well as the pure force of Tré.

Is able to count to 4, and with prep even 7.

Has an unhealthy obsession with excel spreadsheets.

Jason White

Nick - Guitar/Backing

Backing Track

Nick was playing guitar in several bands when he was at college and uni but took a step back from music for a while. Recently Nick has returned to live music and has joined a popular Cambridgeshire covers band called Halo and then joined Green 182 due to his love of pop punk when he was younger.

Nick brings the edge to two well know ‘Three Piece’ bands as he is able to give the songs the depth that they deserve picking up the support and lead lines of Jason White as well as adding in layers from Blink 182 album recordings in Blink 182 tracks.

Can rollerblade on grass without issue.

Has a pony tail…

What to Expect

At a Green 182 show, we aim to give you a dedicated Blink & Green Day experience, so at a normal show we are:

 – Playing a back-to-back Blink set in full Blink 182 attire so you can relive all of the nostalgia.
 – Then a second set dedicated to Green Day with a full change to Green Day attire.

It’s as if you’ve gone to see both bands headline the same show.

However, we are happy to work with all bookings to customise the event to make it the best it can be.
